MAGTICOM has introduced a new service to its customers - for the first time in Georgia MAGTI GSM  subscribers will be able to use advance payment cards the same way as mobile phone owners in many countries of Europe.

What is an advance payment card?

When a mobile phone user purchases an advance payment card the amount paid includes the price of a SIM card as well as a deposit on his account. This entitles the cardholder to make phone calls strictly within the amount of his initial deposit. The system is fully computerized - as soon as the account balance is zero a warning message is sent to the subscriber's phone. A customer can check his/her account balance by simply dialing a special number. Another convenience of the card is that as soon as it expires a customer can buy a special scratch card to call the service center. The amount paid for the scratch card is automatically deposited to his account.

The advantages of the advance payment system are determined by the following factors:

• a subscriber can control his/her expenditure;

• the advance payment system makes "life easier" for a subscriber: there is no need for a contract and no time is wasted on formalities, scratch cards are available in convenient places and are sold unconditionally (again, one does not have to sign a contract);

• advance payment cards are extremely convenient for the customers, mainly visitors, who would like to use their mobile phones for a limited period of time.
