A Mono card can be purchased at convenient locations such as MAGTI GSM customer service centres and sales offices, company dealers, branches of the Bank of Georgia, supermarkets, gas stations and newsagents’.

The Mono card renders mobile phone services more accessible to wider customer groups. There will be three types of cards available  - GEL 30, GEL 60 and GEL 120 cards.

Today the GSM system has over two hundred million subscriber across the world. A third of them use pre-paid cards and every second a new customer joins their ranks. Now you too have a chance of becoming a part of the GSM world by purchasing a Mono card.

How do I activate a Mono card?
 
If you are already a MAGTI GSM subscriber, you just purchase a desirable denomination Mono card, then you scratch the protective layer to reveal the unique 12-digit code.

Those who have not yet subscribed to MAGTI GSM services will need to buy a SIM card as well.

Your next step is to call the Mono service centre. For this dial 444. After hearing a recorded message dial the 12-digit code and the amount indicated will automatically be deposited in your account.

What do I need to know about Mono?

Cash flow in your account is fully automated. Pre-payment allows you to buy telephone time off the shelf. You pay the card service fee, that is purchase one of the three denominations of Mono. The card is valid for 60 days from the date of activation. If there is an unused telephone time after the 60 days, it will be automatically annulled. As soon as your card expires you will need to purchase a new card and activate it. However, you will still be able to receive incoming calls 30 days after the card expiry date. If you fail to make an advance payment again within the 30-day period, your number will automatically be annulled. Pre-payment will allow you to ration the amount of time that you spend on the phone as you can check the balance remaining on your account after each new call.

Within the amount deposited pre-paid system customers have access to international lines. There is no extra charge for this. All you need to do is dial the international access code and the number. From the year 2000 Mono customers will be able to use their mobile phones abroad (without changing the number) and enjoy the convenience of MAGTI GSM roaming services.
