The previous issue of the World of Constant Connection has already introduced the convenience of a scrath card.
This advance payment system has become very popular in the West, despite the fact that it is a relatively new product on the market - the cards having been introduced by Swedish and German companies in 1995.
A year later the card flooded the Italian market. Telecom Italia Mobile sold more than 600,000 cards over the first three-month period. As a result of this successful launch, the company was awarded the 1997 Best Product Prize.
Today most of the GSM operators in Europe, as well as operators in India, Australia, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates are now offering advance payment card services and MAGTI GSM will soon join them.
A MAGTI GSM scrath card will be called MONO. It will enable a MAGTI GSM customer to deposit the suitable amount on his account any time - there is no need to spend unnecessary time and effort visiting the service centre.
Three different types of cards will be available - a 30 card, a 60 card and a 120 card. The figures on a card will indicate the number of units corresponding to tariffs per minute.
Our company is planning to develop a wide marketing network for MONO. Initially, cards will be available at MAGTI GSM customer service centres and from the company dealers. Later, the network will include supermarkets, news-vendors, filling stations and others.
Forget about queuing up, bills and receipts. Get yourself a MONO, remove the silver cover and learn the 12-digit code. Then call the MONO card service center by dialling 444, listen to the instruction on the answering machine and dial the 12-digit code - the amount indicated on the card will automatically be deposited onto your account.
Even if your mobile phone is disconnected, you can still call the service centre free of charge.
If your account balance reaches zero and you are not in a position to purchase another card or to renew the deposit, your telephone will be partially disconnected, i.e. you will be able to receive the incoming calls for another two months. You will still be able to reach the service centre by dialling 444. Hopefully, your financial situation will improve within these two months.
We strongly recommend that you purchase the MONO from licensed dealers. Do not buy the card if the plastic wrapping is damaged, and read the instructions in the user’s guide that accompanies the card.
