I have lost my mobile. I would like to block my SIM-card and take a new one keeping my old number. What steps should I take?
- First, visit one of our offices as soon as possible and submit your ID card to have the SIM blocked in order to prevent the possibility of your account being used by another person.
To take a new SIM with the old number you will have to pay GEL 12 (the cost of a SIM change). Thus you will keep your old number with its balance.
To find a stolen mobile you should make a written application mentioning the IMEI of your mobile (shown on the phone-box) and submit it to your local police station, after which your mobile will be considered lost property. If the phone is found the police will inform you.
- How can I be reached from abroad?
- A Magti GSM subscriber can be reached from abroad by dialing “+995 99” and the 6-digit mobile number.
- Are incoming calls, “call set-up” or the turning on and off of a phone chargeable?
- Incoming calls and the “call set-up” are free of charge if the called party is on the territory of Georgia. Any talk about charges are rumors.
- What is the rounding up rule applied by MagtiCom: a minute-increment, a 30-second increment or a 5-second increment?
- The rounding up rules applied for MagtiCom subscribers are as follows:
a) calls made within the territory of Georgia, excluding calls made using the international operator's code, are rounded up with a 5-second increment;
b) calls made to foreign countries using “00” and “+” codes are rounded up with a 30-second increment.
c) rounding up when roaming abroad depends on the rules of the host operator and may reach a 1-minute increment. In addition, a host operator may add the charge for the so-called “making connection”.
d) calls made in Georgia, as well as abroad, using the code of international operators (such as Goodwillcom, Global-one, Telecom Georgia) are charged according to the rounding-up rules applied by those operators.
- How can I change my mobile number and how much should I pay for it?
- To have your mobile number changed you must visit one of our offices with your ID card. The charge for number changing is GEL 10.
