My number was not active for a long time and is null and void now. Shall I remain a MagtiCom subscriber and what must I do?
If you have lost your mobile number you can visit any of our offices with your ID card and take a new number free of charge.
This rule shall apply in the case when a SIM-card is not damaged, otherwise you will have to purchase a new SIM-card.
Still having a certain sum on my account, I can make but not receive calls.
What can I do?
Your mobile handset may have the Call Diverting function activated, which you can de-activate by pressing ##002# and OK. The de-activation as well as the activation of Call Diverting function is free of charge.
Why is the sum being deducted from my account more than I supposed it would be?
1) According to MagtiCom statutory regulations, any calls (both to fixed and mobile numbers) made within the territory of Georgia are rounded up by 5-second increments of time, while the calls made abroad using the “00” or the “+” code by a 30-second increment.
2) In the case of using a code of some other operator (both international and local calls) the tariff and the rounding up rule may differ from those applicable with MagtiCom.
3) When ending a call both parties must complete it by pressing the corresponding button of mobile handsets.
4) The cases when a subscriber makes two calls instead of one using the call waiting function are quite frequent. Then he/she completes the last call leaving active the previous one. That is why when completing a call you must see that none of the calls remain active and complete them if necessary.
If you have any claim you can visit our Central Office (with your ID card), where you will receive the detailed billing of any day and discuss it with a MagtiCom employee.
How can I recharge my account or an account of a friend without the need to visit your office?
You can activate a MONO-card thus recharging the account for a MagtiCom subscriber of any platform without any need to visit our office. To do so dial “12” on your mobile, then the 12-digit code of a MONO-card, then the 6-digit mobile number (without the “99” code) you intend to recharge and press OK.
If you wish to recharge your own account, dial “12” on your phone, then the 12-digit code of a MONO-card and press OK.
I arrived abroad with the roaming service activated, but cannot use it.
When traveling abroad you will automatically join the network of a local mobile company. However, because of some technical factors your handset may fail to automatically fix the network of a host operator. In such a case you will have to find the network manually.
The manual selection of a network may be effected in the following way: select the NETWORKS item, shift the network selection from AUTOMATIC to MANUAL, and the sub-item of EXISTING NETWORKS will show the codes of operators or the names of the companies whose coverage area you are within. Your choice will become easier if you know the tariffs of those operators (you will receive such information on demand at our offices) as well as the coverage areas.
If you have completed all the above procedures and still are unable to use roaming, you may be within the coverage area of an operator whose standard of wave propagation cannot be supported by your handset.
How can I learn the PUK1 of my handset?
PUK1 is a SIM-card security code, which is required after you fail, according to phone demand, to enter correctly the PIN-code 3 times running. PUK1 code is written on the SIM-card envelope. To learn a lost PUK1 code you will have to visit of one of our offices with your ID card.
